Somalia Visa Requirements for People Looking to Visit Somalia

If you plan on visiting Somalia for official, non-official, contract or business reasons, a visa is a must. The requirement for each of these categories differs. Therefore, depending on where you fall, knowing what is required of you is essential. Below is what you need to enter Somalia.

 

For Non-Official Visitors

  • Download and fill in the visa application form available online.
  • A passport valid for at least six months.
  • Two (2) recent coloured passport photos.
  • A non-refundable visa fee of $60.
  • Round-trip reservation tickets with all the dates, entry and exit points.
  • Proof you have made hotel reservations and whether you will stay alone. If you aren’t alone, your roommate must provide an invitation letter (written) and their passport or ID.

 

For Official Visitors

  • Download and fill in the visa application form available online.
  • A passport valid for at least six months.
  • Two (2) recent coloured passport photos.
  • A Note Verbal from Somalia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

For Business Visitors

  • Download and fill in the visa application form available online. https://www.visa.gov.so/
  • Passport valid for at least six months.
  • Two (2) recent coloured passport photos.
  • A non-refundable visa fee of $60.
  • Round-trip reservation tickets with all the dates, entry and exit points.
  • An official invitation or sponsorship letter from a registered company, government institution or organization. It must have the host address, contact, guest name, passport number, and the purpose of visit and duration.

 

For Employment Visitors

  • Download and fill in the visa application form available online.https://www.visa.gov.so/
  • Passport valid for at least six months.
  • Two (2) recent coloured passport photos.
  • A non-refundable visa fee of $60.
  • Round-trip reservation tickets with all the dates, entry and exit points.
  • Be ready for an interview at any moment.
  • Official invitation or sponsorship letter from a registered company, government institution or organization. It must include the host address, contact, guest name, passport number, the purpose of the visit and duration.

 

For contract visitors

  • Download and fill in the visa application form available online.
  • Passport valid for at least six months.
  • Two (2) recent coloured passport photos.
  • A non-refundable visa fee of $60.
  • Round-trip reservation tickets with all the dates, entry and exit points.
